‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’ Premiere Flicks

Call me a hater but I have no desire to see ‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’ whatsoever. Just read the entry’s label. I am almost certain I know how the film is going to end so what’s the point? Shug Avery can’t even save this sinking ship with her shimmy. And that’s saying a lot.

I’m Just Saying . . .

There is only one Nala West. And Natalie, it ain’t you. Peep the description of ‘Reasonable Excuse’ under the cut.

“Everybody’s Got A Reason..something to push them over the excuse to be bad..I’ve had a lot of bad things happen in my reasons are looking for me..and I’m still running…”

High heels, corsets and sheer decadence. Reasonable Excuse is a dramatic, sassy film about a 20 something PR executive called Laila. A dark heroine, who’s trying to move on from an incident in L.A but somehow gets caught up in the mind games of individuals around her with spine-chilling consequences that link her to the haunting incidents of her past

Starring Natalie Stewart (Grammy Award Winning Floetry), Shola Ama (Brit Award Winner), Nolan Weekes, Tony Streeter and Kwaku. Guest Featuring Sabrina (Mis-Teeq), Lee Henry (Mobo Award Winner) and introducing newcomers Sadie, Mercedes, Dwayne Nosworthy and Kaya Bousquet.

Reasonable excuse is a pop thriller, with a risqu.. script, chic direction and a chilling storyline. A sexy, modern, spin on the film noir genre.

I Smell Oscar!

On the heels of announcing that Keke Palmer has been cast as rapper Roxanne Shante in the upcoming film on the Juice Crew called ‘The Vapors’, is reporting that the following have also been cast for various roles. Cuba Gooding Jr. will be playing Marley Marl, rapper-actor David Banner will play the part of Biz Markie, Evan Ross will play MC Shan, Jackie Long as Big Daddy Kane, and Idris Elba as Tyrone Williams aka Fly Ty.

Let’s be honest, this sounds like a BET Blackbuster film diaster waiting to happen. And I love it! I know I am not the only person out there who has been reduced to watching that damn Fat Boys movie on a Sunday afternoon after church.

Omarion is in dire need of work. ‘Somebody Help Me’, ya’ll.

From the director of [1] YOU GOT SERVED & HOUSE PARTY 4, comes this urban horror/thriller on the order of CABIN FEVER, THE HILLS HAVE EYES, and WRONG TURN. SOMEBODY HELP ME delivers a chill a minute as the story revolves around characters Brendan Young (Marques Houston) and Darryl Jennings (Omarion) as they head off with friends and their respective girlfriends for a weekend stay at a remote cabin in the woods. After the couples settle in and start to enjoy the weekend, things take an eerie turn. On trips into the local town, they start to have strange encounters with some of the townspeople who seem a bit askew. One by one of group ends up missing or dead, while the dwindling group is forced to ban together more and more to figure out who or what is behind the killings. Ultimately, they discover even more than they bargain for in a chilling reveal.

Okay that’s enough post-B2K fuckery for today. Somebody wire that man some extra paper before he resorts to selling sperm, blood, and Krispy Kremes.

[1] I wouldn’t tell anybody but Jesus that I was responsible for those movies.
